Choc-Chip Hot Cross Bun Mug Cake

Easter rolls around so quickly and it seems like the hot cross buns are out on Boxing Day.  This is a great recipe if you are keen on trying your hot cross bun addiction in another form, mug cake form.  It includes our high protein collagen powder, Noway Protein and it VERY easy to make.

Serves: 1 Cook: 20 mins (oven) or 2 minutes (microwave)

Ingredients:

1 egg
1 tbs preferred milk
2 tsp Maple Syrup
1 scoop Noway Vanilla
2 tbs almond meal
1 tsp mixed spice
½ tsp baking powder
1 tbs choc chips (optional)

Method:

  1. In a small mixing bowl whisk egg and milk together. Add maple syrup, Vanilla Noway, almond meal, mixed spice, and baking powder. Add choc chips and stir to combine.
  2. Pour into a greased mug or ramekin and either bake in the oven for 20 minutes (180C) or cook in the microwave for 1.5-2 minutes.
  3. Remove from the oven/microwave and enjoy while warm!
  4. Serve with Noway Collagen Frozen Dessert for extra indulgence ;)
